After teaching in a 1:1 program that received national attention, Laura moved on to become an Ed Tech Director for a K-8 Apple Distinguished district. Her pride is transforming a low-performing, non-tech school in to a PBL, technology integrated school that received two Classroom of the Future awards and gained over 40 API points. A “Best of NECC” presenter, Laura has presented about digital learning around the country for multiple conferences including ISTE, ASCD, CUE, and multiple CUE affiliates; published articles in ed tech magazines; and consulted with county offices and school districts about digital learning and CCSS. Her dissertation focused on the impact creativity tools has on student achievement. This work has morphed in to a district wide digital framework that uses Common Core, ISTE, SAMR and DOK to build comprehensive, inclusive units of study for today’s digital student.
